Downtown Seattle

Okay, here's my last post about December . . .
Thanks to Ricki's report of their trip to downtown, this is one thing I really wanted to do at Christmastime. Next year at Christmastime, we won't really have a "downtown" to go to! We had fun riding the monorail (probably the kids' favorite part), seeing a display of huge gingerbread houses, seeing the big fountain and other cool sights, and eating dinner out (always a highlight, even though we just ate mall food).

Snoopy's house, and Whoville with the Grinch's mountain.

There was a guy on one corner with all his juggling stuff, and he was going to juggle a chainsaw, but kept telling the people who stopped they needed to put some money in his hat, and that he wasn't there to do a free show. He wasn't really convincing anyone, and we didn't wait for him to perform.
It was pretty and we had fun, but at the end it was nice to get out of the crowds and back home. (Especially to get busy Katelyn away from all the traffic and people).

Fun! I'm glad my report helped. :) We had a lot of fun and want to do it again next year. We'll have to add the monorail as that seems to be a kid favorite.
